Did you buy your Christmas presents from Amazon.co.uk?

Amazon have a price promise (which they don’t advertise). If you have bought stuff from them within the last 30 days and the price drops, you can get the difference refunded but you have to ask.
So if you bought stuff just before Christmas, go and check the items again and if it was less than 30 days ago and the price has dropped, send them an e-mail via Help -> Customer Services Contact Us -> E-mail. They apparently get back to you within about a day.

Nice one Flib – I have used this (well sort of) and it works !!
Bought a rugged digital camera, Amazon cost was £64, three weeks after I got it, noticed the price on Amazon for the same item was £43. So not being very happy about it, posted them an email asking why the drop in price. (didn’t know about their refund policy on this), expecting a ‘sorry but it’s our suppliers’ reply, no, I got no reply but did get a refund to my card of £21.
So even without asking for some money, Amazon did it for me. Nice to know why they did !!

This is really useful to know – I’m going to circulate this to my mates.
Sadly for me, the things I bought b4 Christmas have now gone back up in price (which I suppose still makes me a winner).

I bought a portable DVD player…but it’s still the same price. :(
Kudo for the tip, though.
